Girl power///

what is it?   Girl power is something only Men toss around.   Women, such as my Mom, just did what was necessary.  Evaluated whether it was something they could do alone or became an active team member.

I had raked the leaves and moved them to the curve with what my neighbor (man) called with girl power.  If he had done the same task, would it have been boy power?  Nope.

Growing up with Mom and no Dad, us daughters had no lines drawn in the sand.  This is what boys do and this is what girls do.   the only time I was presented with that scenario, was in kindergarten.  The teacher told us children that boys played with blocks and girls played in the kitchen set.  What?

Growing up with my Mom, wonder woman, that was very foreign.  I never heard about male vs female roles.  She seemed to tackle the world as a human soul or saw all with potential.  She always chimed...."try it, you might like it.  That attitude was empowering.
